Spaghetti Marinara

Spaghetti Marinara

It is possible to get a hearty and healthy meal without adding meat. Veg out with this spaghetti marinara that's biggest draw is the tomato-y taste.

8 oz. spaghetti
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can of chunky stewed tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can of tomato paste
Garlic salt, basil, and parsley flakes to taste

Combine olive oil, chunky stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, and 3 oz. of water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Add garlic salt, basil, and parsley flakes. In another kettle or pot, add 3 quarts of water and bring to a boil. Add 8 oz. of spaghetti, return to boil and stir occasionally. Do not cover kettle or pot. Allow cooking for 9 minutes. Drain spaghetti and add marinara sauce.
