The Surpassing Majesty of God

The Surpassing Majesty of God

The Lord God Almighty is a Person of unimaginable Power and Greatness. He is a Person of Perfect Holiness, Loving Intentions, and Pure Justice. He is Generous, Wise, Creative, Mathematically Precise. He rules His universe with Dignity and Authority and Autonomy.The fact that He desires to know us and fellowship with us is almost un-explainable; the Fact that He gave His only Son to die on the Cross and save us is almost beyond all understanding...except it is His Choice and His Will to do so. He is a God of Grace (undeserved favor) and Mercy (undeserved kindness and forgiveness) toward us.

Sometimes we get to thinking of "Gentle Jesus, Meek and Mild", holding the little children on His lap as He blessed them...
and while this is one facet of His Personality, we must not lose sight that He is the Almighty God Who created the Universe.`
Here are some pictures of the Throne Room of Heaven, and the majesty of God, where God Sits on His Throne, with Christ in His Right Hand, accompanied by angellic creatures whose joy it is to worship Him.

And remember...one day soon, we as Believers will all be there worshipping God face to face in the Heavenly throne room with them. Are you ready?

In Christ......brother bob......<><

--Bible Verses to Ponder--

(Isa 6:1-5 KJV)
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne,
high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
{2} Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings;
with twain{=two} he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
{3} And one cried unto another, and said,
Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
{4} And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried,
and the house was filled with smoke.
{5} Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone;
because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips:
for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
(Exo 24:9-11 KJV)
Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
{10} And they saw the God of Israel:
and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone,
and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
{11} And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand:
also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

(Ezek 1:24-28 to 2:1 KJV)
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters,
as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech,
as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
{25} And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads,
when they stood, and had let down their wings.
{26} And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne,
as the appearance of a sapphire stone:
and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
{27} And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it,
from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward,
I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
{28} As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain,
so was the appearance of the brightness round about.
This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.
And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
(Ezek 2:1 KJV) And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

(John 1:18 KJV)
No man hath seen God at any time;
the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

(1 Tim 6:14-16 KJV)
That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable,
until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: {15} Which in his times he shall show,
who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
{16} Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;
whom no man hath seen, nor can see:
to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

(1 Ki 22:19 KJV)
And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD:
I saw the LORD sitting on his throne,
and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

(Ezek 10:1-4 KJV)
Then I looked, and, behold,
in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone,
as the appearance of the likeness of a throne. {2} And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said,
Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims,
and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
{3} Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
{4} Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house;
and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD'S glory.

(Dan 7:9-10 KJV)
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit,
whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool:
his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
{10} A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him:
thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him:
the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

(Mat 25:31-34 KJV)
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him,
then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
{32} And before him shall be gathered all nations:
and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
{33} And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
{34} Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

(Rev 3:21 KJV)
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne,
even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

(Rev 4:2-11 KJV)
And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
{3} And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone:
and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
{4} And round about the throne were four and twenty seats:
and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment;
and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
{5} And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices:
and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
{6} And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal:
and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
{7} And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man,
and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
{8} And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him;
and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying,
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
{9} And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
{10} The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne,
and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
{11} Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

(Rev 7:15-17 KJV)
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple:
and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
{16} They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more;
neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
{17} For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters:
and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

(Isa 57:15 KJV)
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
` I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

(Psa 108:3-7 KJV)
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
{4} For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
{5} Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
{6} That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
{7} God hath spoken in his holiness;....

(Eph 1:18-23 KJV)
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling,
and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
{19} And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power,
{20} Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead,
and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
{21} Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named,
not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
{22} And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
{23} Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

(Isa 40:21-22 KJV)
Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning?
have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?
{22} It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;
that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

(Isa 40:28-31 KJV)
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard,
that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?
there is no searching of his understanding. {29} He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
{30} Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
{31} But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

(1 Chr 29:11-13 KJV)
{11} Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power,
and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:
for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine;
thine is the kingdom, O LORD,
and thou art exalted as head above all.
{12} Both riches and honour come of thee,
and thou reignest over all;
and in thine hand is power and might;
and in thine hand it is to make great,
and to give strength unto all.
{13} Now therefore, our God, we thank thee,
and praise thy glorious name.

(Rev 20:11-15 KJV)
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it,
from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
{12} And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
{13} And the sea gave up the dead which were in it;
and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:
and they were judged every man according to their works.
{14} And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
{15} And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

(Rev 21:1-8 KJV)
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
{2} And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
{3} And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
{4} And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away. {5} And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. {6} And he said unto me, It is done.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
{7} He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
{8} But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers,
and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death.
